It's the End of the World - Again

by Cameron Home

The world has been said to be destroyed for a very long time. Seriously, a VERY long time. And every time it has been said, it usually hasn't happened. It started off with the 2012 from the Aztecs, and that could happen. I'll just go down to London for the Olympics, look at the sky, and there's a God of Death! Oh joy.

We can't forget Nostradamus, oh Nostradamus. Most of us will be dead before we can see if you are correct or not. But even so, you've been correct in the past have you not? What's stopping you now? Well, except for the actual probability of the end of the world happening within the next 20 million years, or whenever that silly Sun at the end of our Solar System dies out.* The figures aren't too important, are they? Well, anyway, back to the point.

There are so many silly ideas for when the world will end. Last year, and asteroid flew past Earth and it supposedly would kill us all. Hello, afterlife, good to see you're reading this now that there is no Earth. It's as if these conspiracy theorists are trying to annoy me with their stupid "the world shall end in <insert random year here> because <insert nonsensical reason here>". Why? Do you find it fun making people scared? Do you find it fun tricking your own mind?

Please stop with these people, they got on my nerves, and deep down, these end of the world theories most likely get on your's too.

Oh, and the world shall have a drought which will make it end in 2183. I ay this just to join the bandwagon.

Great article. Well done.

People have a reputation for being paranoid. Look at the Hadron collider tabloid fluff. PEOPLE BELIEVED THAT.

It is just people being "silly billies" to put it plainly. But of course when the world ends they will say we are the "silly billies"

I agree, the human race is paranoid and that these people will in the end put it down to us as being, well, silly.
